DISASTER RELIEF
Responding to the cry for help
During times of disaster (floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, fires, etc.) God has allowed us to be a help to those who are hurting. Through the help of churches around the nation, we have been used as distribution center to meet immediate needs of the people who have been devastated by disaster. We have put together teams to go into people’s homes after the flood to help rebuild. We have also sent teams to other states and locations to help when they have been involved in a natural disaster.
Everyone can serve in some way and these times have been great opportunities to give of ourselves, time, and energy to reach people who are in desperate situations. Not only by providing physical needs and help in restoring their lives to some type of normalcy, but also to love them, encourage them, and share the Gospel with them.
