brief overview

Join us as we celebrate the season by blessing those who surround us! Each year, we do our best to provide for those in our community during the Christmas season with new coats, a meal, gifts, and above all the love of Christ.

Ever wonder why we give gifts at Christmas? It is easy to forget in the midst of all the holiday hustle and bustle, but the word of God gives a beautiful answer. In the book of Esther, the Jews had a death sentence looming over them. Through an evil plot the whole nation was condemned to die, but through a miracle of God, the situation was turned around. The ones who were plotting death were killed and Israel who would have died … lived!  Then, the bible says they rested and made it a day of feasting and gladness, a good day of sending portions one to another, and giving gifts to the poor.  They were so glad to have life and not death, they celebrated with JOY and gave of the life they had received! Likewise, a death sentence was over us because of sin. The wrath of God was looming. Then, through a miracle of God, the word become flesh and dwelt among us. Instead of on us, the wrath of God was poured upon Jesus, on the cross. He died our death; He purchased our pardon! As believers, we are now free from sin and death!  God gave His only Son that we might live and not die!

This is the vision God gave us three years ago when He led us to reach out and have an outdoor Christmas Celebration. It is with this inspiration that we gather as His redeemed and CELEBRATE JESUS! It is all for Him. We rest, we feast, we are glad and rejoice in the goodness of the Lord! It is a beautiful day of loving our God and one another, giving gifts, singing and joyfully sharing the good news we have received. Please pray as we prepare for this day again on December 12th. Above all, pray for the presence of God.  Pray He comes as our guest of honor, and that the lost will come to Him and be saved.

LOCAL CHURCH SUPPORTED - FIRST NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

First New Testament Church is a church whose heart and arms are opened to the lost and dying people of the world. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are calling the sinners, the broken-hearted, the sick, and the bound to freedom and new life by the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Luke 4:18).

We do not exist to conform to the religious mood of our culture, to be socially acceptable, to occupy property, or to perform mere religious duties.

We desire to bring the love of Christ, the freedom of Christ, and the hope of Christ into a broken and hurting world.
